1) Why do you have the name "catch the pigeon" AND "happy / drunk - ska / punk"?
Catch The Pigeon is the name of this website - was previously called all sorts of other lame names.
Happy / Drunk - Ska / Punk is another title, as I needed to fill up the writing space. The title before that was "ska punk - noise mess" and as it wasn't very messy and didn't rhyme - I changed it into my description of Adam Went Home. I also had a rather clever little plan for the "drunk" bit, but I don't think I'll be able to do it because Sam (owner of the free house) is moving to Turkey.. I'll think of something.
2) Why Ska/Punk?
*It's happy
*It's piss easy to play
*I have bad taste in music
*People have become very interested in it recently
*Lots of these sorts of bands play / live locally
*Almost every punk band we've ever met are full of such nice people - but I could also say that about every hiphop / funk group I've ever met...
3) Why do your interviews make very little sense?
They do, you need to read them as if they were a script for a play - if not, don't read them.
4) Why did you make this site?
There are millions and millions of fan-sites, punk sites, ska sites etc.. and I really wanted to have a load of my stuff on some of them but instead of contributing to someone elses with stuff which might not interest them at all (or be good enough) - I made my own, so it doesn't matter if it's shat.
Plus, I'm hoping maybe sometime in my life I'll take up journalism and have my own magazine, but I don't know yet. So by doing this I can A) see if I enjoy this sort of thing and B) If I do, get ahead of myself and also, learn to speak infront of people better, hence all the interview being done live - not via e-mail (but theres another reason for that too..)
5) How did this start?
It was a joint idea, sort of.
We were bored in the middle of the summer holiday and were often at local music venues.. so, it became!
I also made a bet with Natty Marrow... Here's the bet:
Natty: "If you manage to keep this going (the website) I'm sure you'll be able to work for big cheese." - thats not word for word. (before this, I had told him how I had really wanted to work at big cheese)
as usual, I disagree and say "would you like to bet on that?" - thats not word for word either.
Items which were bet: My beastie boy anthology cd's for Natty's glasses.

9) Do you get paid for doing this?
No! Considering the amount of money I've spent on developing photos, buying tapes, a domain name and whatever else I've missed out, I've become about a million pounds short of what I had before.. but I don't mind - as half of it isn't my money and You meet cool people, find out lots of funny things, embarrass yourself infront of lots of people, get sympathy from your friends & if people are really nice, they even share their merch with you!
